An Introduction & About Me
Introduction – why I started this blog
The art of making something from nothing is always hard for me. In the past, I wanted to create a Minecraft server, graphic arts studio, a tutoring company, and many more things that interested me at the time. For most projects, I give up within a couple of hours of starting.
Before I even start, procrastination takes over. I cook dinner, clean my room, organize my spreadsheets, go for a walk— anything to avoid starting whatever I need to do.
Once I start, perfectionism takes over. There’s a small voice in my head that tells me whatever I’m pursuing isn’t worth it. That I should delete what I wrote because it’s too cringey or not logical.
I’ve started to realize this cycle has caused a lot of unhappiness in my life. I can’t move forward as the unknown is daunting to me. I can’t move backward as it would mean giving up again. I default to a limbo— waiting for that next burst of motivation.
This blog started as one of the many projects that I put a couple of hours into and gave up. But, over the course of two years— I picked up where I last quit and slowly molded this blog into something I can be proud of.
Writing has always been therapeutic for me. I write to organize my thoughts and write more to transform those thoughts into actions. As I enter the working phase in my life, I want to be able to reflect on my past through my own writings.
I want to make this blog public to keep myself accountable and hopefully create something that grows to something more than just a random project I started two years ago.
